The 4K Drop is a one-off Race The Machine challenge, open to all runners — and run together by those already taking part in the Race The Machine Grand Challenge 2026.

📅 When It Happens

The 4K Drop takes place on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th March 2026.

• Run anytime across the weekend

• Results and evidence accepted until Friday 3rd April for those who genuinely can’t run on the weekend

This is a fixed RTM moment, not an open-ended challenge.
Everyone runs against their target at the same time.

If you’re already in the Grand Challenge 2026, this Drop is included automatically. You take part alongside Drop entrants, with fully adaptive targets continuing as normal.

🤖 What Happens After You Run

Once you upload your result:

• The Machine records your performance

• Your RTM score is calculated

• You are added to the RTM 4K Drop leaderboard.

If you later enter the Grand Challenge 2027, this result will be used to refine your starting targets.

Nothing is wasted.
